Chakwera inspire Malawians to develop the country
President Lazarus Chakwera is encouraging Malawians living within and outside the country to emulate the example of Napoleon Dzombe of being at the forefront in development their respective places which will translate into the national development in different sectors of the economy.
Dzombe is the owner of Kalipano Hotel which will be managed by Sunbird Tourism Plc.
Apart from the Hotel, the business tycoon is also the brains behind several ventures in the agriculture and manufacturing industry and he also runs a private hospital.
Speaking during the official launch of the magnificent structure in Dowa, Chakwera commended Dzombe for proving to the world that Malawians have the capacity to change the economic landscape of the country using locally available financial resources and skills.
“One of the things that delights me about this investment is how it has defied so many stereotypes people have about investing in the tourism sector. One such stereo type is how people do not consider Malawi’s rural areas as tourism assets worth investing in it. They think cities, lakes and the wild life reserves are the only places for tourism investment. Dzombe is a successful investor for thinking outside the box.” Chakwera observed.
He therefore urged the people across the country to now explore every business opportunity which will make a huge difference to the local communities and the country as a whole especially in the tourism sector.
“Tourism is all about giving visitors a new and memorable experience away from home and Kalipano Hotel will henceforth be remembered as a pioneer in investment targeting rural Malawi. This should set as an example to all Malawians.” Aded the Malawi leader.
Meanwhile Dzombe has disclosed plans of setting various investments and business ventures in other districts of the country which will result into job and wealth creation amongst the general populace.
He further disclosed that through massive investment in agriculture farming and value addition, he will greatly contribute to the generation of foreign exchange towards the country’s economy.
