Bullets through to 2nd round of CAF Champions League
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will date TP Mazembe of Democratic Republic of Congo in the second preliminary round of CAF Champions League.
The Peoples Team played a 1-0 home win at Bingu National Stadium to seal a 3-0 aggregate victory over Equatorial Guinea’s Dragon FC.
Substitute Ephraim Kondowe netted the only goal in the match on Sunday at 67 minutes after he had received a ball from midfielder Patrick Mwaungulu.
After the match, Bullets mentor Kalisto Pasuwa said his charges were wasteful.
“A very jittery game in terms of how we approached it. We have wasted a lot of matches which we should have scored. We hope to do better.” Said Pasuwa.
On his part, Dragon FC coach Nicolas Nconi Bibang Nchama
“We had a lot of challenges including travel arrangements for my players. That also affected the game plan. But losing in this competition is not the end of everything, we will go back and prepare for better results.” He said.
The visitors had only three players on the bench due to logistical challenges.
