FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa is optimistic that striker Gastin Phodo will inspire the team for glory at local and international assignments.
Phodo, who is currently struggling to see the back of the net in Super League has only scored two goals for Bullets this season, one in Charity Shield and another in FDH Bank Cup.
However, the former Silver Strikers attacker netted twice in Sunday’s Bullets victory away to Dragon FC in Equatorial Guinea in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
“This is the boy I have trusted. He can keep the ball, at the same time good in the air and also very fast. It is just unfortunate that most of the goals he has been scoring have been ruled out for offside in the local league. So, we need to encourage him more so as to get the best out of him.” Explained Pasuwa.
The People’s Team, who returned via Chileka International Airport on Monday, will host their opponent on Sunday at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
