Reunion Insurance pumps K3m towards IIM conference

Reunion Insurance Company Limited has pumped in K3 million towards the 2023 Insurance Institute of Malawi – IIM lakeshore conference.
Scheduled for the 31st of August to the 2nd of September 2023 in Mangochi, the conference will be held under the theme: Building Resilience through Insurance in Times of Economic Turbulences.
Speaking at Reunion Insurance headquarters in Blantyre during the handover ceremony, marketing and business development manager, Miller Joshua stated that IMM plays an important role in setting standards and promoting professionalism in the insurance industry through training and education.
According to Joshua, as a company they believe the gathering will provide platforms for sharing of knowledge, experiences and networking.
Joshua explains that; “as a local brand, Reunion Insurance works with different stakeholders in various industries to fulfil its Corporate Social Responsibility as enshrined in its business model,” explained Joshua.
In his remarks, IIM vice president, Reuben Kamanga expressed gratitude to Reunion Insurance for the kind gesture adding that the sponsorship will go all the way to effectively help in preparation of the conference.
Kamanga further lobbied for other partners to walk with them to the indaba.
“I encourage other stakeholders regardless of their sectors to partner us and attend the conference as it tackle recent economic issues” explained Kamanga.
Minister of finance, Sosten Gwengwe is expected to give a keynote address at the event.
