In a practical demonstration of its commitment to supporting youth development, mobile telephony operator, TNM Plc. on Wednesday partnered with hip-hop artist, Gwamba, in an initiative aimed at unearthing and promoting raw artistic talent.

Set for 26 August in Mzuzu, the Gwamba Unlimited Concert is set to expose young, untapped northern region talent to thousands of music fans as well as people who matter in the music industry.

“This is a commendable initiative that is going to give boundless opportunities to young artists. As a local brand that is also involved in youth development, TNM has decided to partner with Gwamba by making a MK5 million contribution, towards the event,” remarked Madalitso Jonazi, TNM’s head of brand and marketing.

“Further to this contribution, TNM will offer discounted tickets to patrons who’ll purchase the same through our Mpamba platform,” Jonazi added.

On his part, Gwamba – real name Duncan Zgambo – commended TNM for the support which he says will go a long in making the concert a success.

“Unlike previous concerts that I’ve ever done, patrons will this time around experience Gwamba for four straight, uninterrupted hours.

Apart from doing away with the many supporting artists that we’ve always had, this year’s concert will allow patrons to enjoy exclusive performances by northern region artists,” said Gwamba.
