The FA’s commercial and marketing director Limbani Matola says; “we call upon football fans to come in large numbers to support this cause. We all need to hold hands and this is the opportunity for football fans to contribute towards fellow citizens who are struggling and are desperate for survival.

Meanwhile, as a build up to the event, NBS Bank who are sponsors of the match have presented kits to the teams.

Tamanda Longwe, the bank’s head of marketing and customer experience says, “we are expecting fellow Malawians to patronise this game in large number because the cause for the charity shield is a good one. Many people who were affected by Cyclone Freddy will be helped through the same.”
