Police search Prophet David Mbewe’s mansion

Police are confirming to have conducted a search operation at Prophet David Mbewe’s Machinga residence on Friday.
National Police Publicist Peter Kalaya, has however not given particulars of the enquiries arguing investigations are still underway.
According to Mbewe, the law enforcers went to his home to investigate on whether his fleet of cars was duly brought into the country and that they also thought his David White Palace is operating as a hotel and not a house.
The Living Word Evangelistic Church leader says the police have since cleared him in any wrongdoing.
One of his church members who has spoken to Capital FM under anonymity, has claimed that the search might have had political strings attached, as their leader has been a strong critic of the governing Tonse Alliance administration.
