Kalindo calls for aid freeze
Politician cum activist Bon Kalindo is calling for the suspension of donor support to Malawi following rampant corruption in the Tonse administration.
Kalindo has told journalists in Blantyre that there is need for a forensic audit on government expenditures amid massive fraud and plunder of public funds.
Operating under the banner, “Concerned Citizens,” the former UTM official has extended his call to the British and American governments to impose sanctions on the Chakwera administration.
He further called for an early general election as a sign of no confidence to the current regime.
While giving a 10 day ultimatum for President Lazarus Chakwera to resign, Kalindo has rated the Chakwera led administration at 8 %.
Kalindo has further revealed that he is consulting lawyers on whether a caretaker government can be put in place.
