The institution’s Chief Executive, Philip Madinga, made the sentiments at the end of the 2022 Standard Bank Be More Golf tournament in Blantyre.
“As a bank with a long association with golf locally and regionally, we are proud to continue contributing towards development of this sport. As a corporate brand, golf presents a great platform where we interact and appreciate our valued clients and partners,” stressed Madinga.
In the men’s category, Ignacio Kambale emerged champion, while Godwin Chinseu and Kingsley Mhango finished second and third respectively.
In the women’s category, Ulemu Luhanga and Roza Mbilizi finished third and second respectively while Maria Tandwe was the champion.
Tandwe said, “it took perseverance for me to defend this title. I had a very good day with a net score of 68.”

The company’s CEO and Founder, Mfundo Mbvundula said, “we have been banking with Standard Bank for years and we have had a very good track record with them.”
