Coca-Cola Beverages Africa rolls out independent operations in Malawi

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa has unveiled its brand after finalizing the acquisition of soft drink business from Castel at an undisclosed fee.

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the leading bottler business in Africa and one of the top 10 biggest in the world.

It operates in 15 countries and describes the takeover investment as confidential, but promises a vibrant business model that supports the whole supply chain value.

The company’s Managing Director Seutload Thaunyane says the business has retained all employees who were at soft drinks section when responding to restructuring concerns.

“We have managed to transfer everybody that came across from our predecessors we have given them homes, we have made sure that their salary structure either remain the same or are improved in such an instance, nobody will lose their jobs as a result of this transaction,” Thaunyane said.

He has assured the public of resounding production capacity, which will satisfy prevailing demand especially during summer seasons.
