Stain Davie to miss Mozambique game
The Malawi national football team is likely to miss the services of striker ,Stain Davie, at the forth coming TotalEnergies African Nations Championship qualifiers against Mozambique.
The Silver Strikers’ attacker is said to be close to clinching a deal with Gaborone based, Township Rollers.
On August 27, Malawi is expected to host Mozambique at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe before traveling to Maputo for the return leg a week later.
Marinica held the first camping phase with some players from Sunday to Wednesday and has now released them for club assignments.
Another schedule is therefore expected to start on Sunday the 14th and until Wednesday the 17th before the final phase from the 20th up to the day of the match.
While describing Davie’s absence as a setback, the coach says the development is still good news for Malawi football.
