Msaka for DPP Presidency

Eyeing DPP presidency
The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the Eastern Region Bright Msaka has announced that he will run for the party’s presidency.
His announcement comes amid growing leadership wrangles in the former governing party.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lilongwe, Msaka has outlined a number of reasons why he feels he is best suited to lead not only the party but the country as well.
He has cited the integral part that he has played in popularizing and setting the structures of the party in the Eastern region.
Msaka joins Vice President for the Southern Region Kondwani Nankhumwa in the bid for the blue camp’s presidency.
The DPP is set to hold its party convention in 2023, to elect a new executive and its torch bearers in the run up to the 2025 presidential election.
