Cristiano Ronaldo Equals Jimmy Greaves' Record As All-Time Top European Goalscorer

Written by  dailymail.com.uk May 18, 2017

Cristiano Ronaldo's record-breaking heroics continued at the weekend after his two goals helped Real Madrid thrash Sevilla at the Bernabeu on Sunday.

His opening strike saw him net his 400th for the club since joining for a world record fee from Manchester United in 2009.

And the second saw him overtake West Germany legend Gerd Muller to record his 367th league goal in European football.

The 32-year-old will have the opportunity to break the record when they visit Celta Vigo on Wednesday before the trip to Malaga on the final day.

Of current footballers, unsurprisingly it is Lionel Messi who is the highest-ranked active player nearest to the Portuguese forward.
