Former Malawi president Bakili Muluzi expects to leave the country on Tuesday for Pretoria in South Africa on a five-day official trip.
Muluzi will join three other former heads of state and government for a meeting with the newly elected chairperson of the African Union Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
The other three former Presidents are Joaquim Chissano of Mozambique, Sir Ketumile Masire of Botswana and Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia.
Muluzi is an executive member of the African Forum, an organisation comprising former heads of state and government in Africa which world closely with the AU secretariat in Addis Ababa.
He is expected to return home on August 4.
