Malawian filmmaker Shenu Joya is insisting on keeping his new movie a surprise to its prospective viewers.
Late 2016, Joya started filming the movie in Blantyre whose shooting lasted for close to a month.
Speaking to Capital FM award winning producer said the film is in its final production stages but maintained a tight lid on its title.
Joya is one of the country’s outstanding filmmakers with two international film award to his name for both his debut Seasons Of A Life and Last Fishing Boat.
He added that they at an advanced stage of editing the film but maintained that he was to make its premier and release an interesting surprise.
Meanwhile he is expected to make public the details of the movies next week as he promises to release a press statement on the same.
According to Wikipedia, Shemu Joyah was born in Zimbabwe to Malawian parents.
He later moved back to Malawi and studied for a B.Sc in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Malawi, Chancellor College.
He then proceeded to the United Kingdom for further studies and received a B.Sc Honours degree in surveying and mapping sciences from the University of East London.
Joyah is talented writer and producer.
He has had several short stories published in anthologies and a book published.
He is a published author and also writes the scripts for movies he produces.
He has written the manuscripts for both Seasons of Life and The Last Fishing Boat.
